    3. Hi Terry, Thanks for the welcome to the Littleton line. And, yes I can dispute some of the info that you mentioned. I joined this mailing list in hopes that someone out there might just have the answer that will help me pinpoint that William and Sarah are Thomas's parents. This MILER line (Ephraim) that you mentioned is my DAR line so I do know quite a bit, on my direct line. Some of the children off this line I have a lot; and I also have some imcomplete information (some which is not proven). If you want to write to me directly that is fine. First I do know that my Thomas LITTLETON line is proven up to him. I am trying to find his parents. What I posted for children of Thomas earlier is correct. My name is Wanda Albers and Robert Lee Albers is my husband. I have in the past corresponded with some people who have not taken the information that I have sent to them into consideration when they posted or wrote. I have seen my name on the internet with lines that you have mentioned. I have tried my best to get this straightened out and I don't know how to even go about getting it done. I sent one gentleman my lineage and he published it in his book and put it out on the internet, HOWEVER he chose to put what he wanted too. There are a lot of errors in his work. It's just too bad that it's out there for everyone to see. My first LITTLETON is: My g.g.grandmother Emaline LITTLETON, she is the daughter of Thomas LITTLETON and Mary (Polly) MATLOCK. Her parents were married in Washington Co, NC which is now Washington Co, TN (when TN became a state in 1796). Again information is out there that it was Hawkins Co, TN this could be true. There is a document which has a deposition by Jesse Matlock which states that his sister Mary (Polly) Matlock married Thomas Littleton in Washington Co, TN and that their first son was James. I have another document that names Thomas and Mary MATLOCK LITTLETON'S children and Emaline and James are listed as children. Don't know where this information came from that is being circulated around that Emaline is the daughter of James. I'm sure it is from earlier researchers who have chose to assume alot ot things. James and Emaline are brother and sister. According to the 1850 and 1860 census's the year 1768 is used to calculated Thomas's birth. He was 82 in 1850 and 92 in 1860 so Thomas was born about this time. No exact date is known. Questions: (1)Do you have a marriage record for William and Sarah COTTINGHAM LITTLETON? I would love to learn anything about them. (2)Do you know anything about the son William F. LITTLETON that you mentioned? (3) Do you know where William F and Thomas were born? Was it NC or was it the part of NC that is now TN? I truly would love to find proof that William and Sarah are the parents of my Thomas. I will take anything that anyone has on older William and Sarah. Maybe it would give me a clue as to where to even begin to look. As far as the Emaline Littleton and Ephraim L. M. MILLER lineage you mentioned. The 1850,1860,1870,1880 TN census records the children for Ephraim and Emaline are: 1. Mary Jane Miller (Neergaard) (Hall) 2. Rev. James Thoms Miller (my g.grandfather) 3. William W. Miller 4. John Richard Miller 5. Andrew Payton Miller 6. Ephraim M. Miller Jr. 7. Sarah Elizabeth Miller (Tinnel) 8. Malinda E. Miller 9. George W. Miller You mentioned a David G Miller b. 1847. I do not find this on the census records. Did he die young? He doesn't appear on the 1850 census or on the document naming Thomas's children. I've never ran across this name. For James and Catharine BROWN LITTLETON; I have these children: Again I have used the 1850, 1860, 1870 census records and a Loose Leaf document from Roane County, TN. Some people have used the book "History of Roane Co, TN" by Emma Wells to put this family together. This book has errors on the Littleton pages. 1. William ? Littleton 2. Mary Littleton (Miller) 3. Sarah Jane Littleton (Breazeale) 4. Thomas Jefferson Littleton 5. John J. Littleton 6. Martha C. Littleton (Sturgess) 7. Jesse M. Littleton 8. Pleasant Green Littleton 9. George P (Press) Littleton 10. Elizabeth E. Littleton (Huffine) 11. Ragan Dock Littleton (THIS IS NOT PROVEN) I use PAF program for my information. But I recently was given an older version of FTM as a gift, I have just begun to use it for my mother's line. So far I only have about 10 names. I would be happy to post anything or answer any questions on the LITTLETONS. I have researched this family for the last 10 years. But I can't get beyond Thomas. Thanks Terry for your response. You have (listdad). Are you head of this mailing list? How do you descend from this massive LITTLETON'S? Wanda
