    3. Hi Terry & list members, Does anyone know of or have the book titled, "LIFE AS REVEALED THROUGH EARLY AMERICA COURT RECORDS -Including The Story of Col. John Custis of Arlington, Queen's Creek and Williamsburg" by E.T. Crowson? {Long title I know} Uncertain of publisher or date. I gather it deals with Virginia 17 Century Virginia. A fellow searcher, who I don't think is on this list, snail mail me copies of the pages listing LITTLETON's The index lists, Ann; Bowman; Edward; Elizabeth; Ester; Frances; Gertrude; Grace; Hester; Nathaniel; Sarah; Southy Littleton. Unfortunately, I only got a few pages. The book looks as if it would be a great read. Does anyone know any more information about this book? Where it was published? When? Is it still available to purchase from the publisher? Any input would be greatly appreciated. One paragraph was most interesting...{paraphrased}...Out of all this immigration and settlement there grew an isolated aristocracy in the early seventeenth century which perpetuated itself for years with no appreciable admixture of outside blood. Such prominent families as the Scarburgh, Yeardley, Upshur, Littleton, Wise and Curtis families intermarried and kept a firm hold on the government. Thus, the aristocratic character of the Virginia society here, as elsewhere in the colony, was the result of development within the colony and it preceded from economical, political and social causes.[PG. 119] Rob
