Hi all, Thanks to everyone for all the kind words of appreciation and encouragement for my sponsoring this newsgroup. Many of you wrote wanting to contribute to the sponsor fee. Like I said, it is only $24, and as Dr Harry Littleton said, that's about $ .296 for each of you. So it's not worth the stamp. They are continually adding new servers, etc and if you haven't checked out their home page and seen ALL that they do for free for all of us researchers, it's amazing. If you're like me, I don't like the way Ancestory.com and Family Tree Maker do business. You wanna see it, you buy the CD or subscribe. Please check out the Rootsweb.com homepage and see all that they do for free for us. AND IF SO INCLINED, maybe you could think about sending them $5 or $10 or whatever you want every year as an 'appreciation' fee. Their address is on the web site or you can use a credit card over their secured line.
