I find that this was printed in Emma Wells book "History of Roane County, TN" and it is known that this book has numerous errors. Is this a different William F. than the one you had mentioned earlier? It very well could be, lots of years in between. I have in my files a William F. Littleton b. 2 Jul 1852 - d. 21 Jun 1918 in Roane Co., TN; he married Nancy Jane Eblen 26 Jan 1873 and had children; Hannah, Charles, Elizabeth, Thomas Wilk, Sallie and Addie Lou (I'm using the 1880 and 1900 Ronae Co., TN census; and tombstone inscriptions as my source). This William F. is son of Thomas Jefferson Littleton who is son of James and Catharine (Brown) Littleton. Have you or anyone on your list ran across a Thomas Littleton in Jones Co., NC who married Mary ______ and had children Leah, William, Charles, George and John. I have this group sheet but I can't tie the family to mine. This Thomas was born about 1702 and died about 1792. I must have written this group sheet from a will abstract or something.
