This is what I have for James and Catharine's children. I'm using a court document, tombstone inscriptions and census records to compile this data. I was going to type the court document at the end this of but will send it in a separate post. It's just too large. Wanda James Littleton born about 1798 in TN died before 1870 in Roane County, TN. He is the son of Thomas Littleton b. about 1768 d. after 1860 (listed as 92). He married Mary 'Polly' Matlock about 1797 in Hawkins Co., TN (deposition by her brother Jesse Matlock). James married Catharine 'Kitty' Brown 30 December 1810 in Roane Co., TN. Catharine Brown was about 1801 d after 1880 in Roane Co., TN. Kitty is referred to as Catherine on all census records. They both are buried at Cave Creek Cem, near Kingston in Roane County, TN. Neither of the tombstones have a date carved on them but she is referred to as Katherine on the tombstone. (Nothing known) 2) Mary Ann 'Pop or Polly' Littleton born about 1823 - d before 1880. She married Terrance M. Miller 17 Dec. 1845 in Roane Co., TN. They had 9 known children. 3) Sarah Jane Littleton b. about 1824; married Drury Wood Breazeale 13 Sep. 1849. Tombstone: Drewey W. Breazeale, 14 Oct 1822 - 4 Jan 1921, Cave Creek Cem., Roane Co, TN. They had 9 known children. 4) Thomas Jefferson b. 18 Oct. 1830 in Indiana - d. 12 Jan. 1915, Kingston, Roane Co., TN buried at Bethel-Kingston Cem., Roane Co., TN. He married (1)Hannah Burnett Ingram 27 July 1851 Roane Co., TN. Tombstone: Hannah B Littleton, 2 June 1836 - 29 May 1874, Cave Creek Cem., Roane Co, TN; w/o TJ. She is the daughter of Sanford Ingram and Mary Burnett. Granddaughter of Garland Ingram and Johannah Mayes. They had 9 known children. Thomas married (2)Anna E. McNutt 1 Dec. 1879 in Roane Co., TN. Tombstone: Anna E. McNutt Littleton; 22 Dec. 1854 - 27 Feb. 1907, Bethel-Kingston Roane Co., TN; w/o T. J. They had 9 known children. 5) John J. 'Jack' Littleton b. about 1832 Roane Co., TN - d. Nashville TN. He married Nancy Caroline Huffine 25 Nov. 1849 in Roane Co., TN. Nancy was born 22 Apr. 1834. Tombstone: C Littleton; 22 Apr 18?? - ____ Cave Creek Cem, Roane Co, TN; w/o John J. Stone is broken. I have 13 children listed. 6) Martha C. Littleton b. about 1833 Roane Co., TN - d. after 1880. She married Columbus Lafeyette Sturgess 8 May 1853 in Roane Co., TN. They divorced 11 Nov. 1872 in Roane Co. They had 2 children. Columbus married (2)Martha M. Ladd about 1887. They had 5 known children. 7) Capt. Jesse M. Littleton b. 27 Dec. 1836 Roane Co., TN - d. 15 July 1907 Roane Co., TN. Tombstone: Jesse M. Littleton, 27 Dec 1836 - 15 Jul 1907, Cave Creek Cem, Roane Co TN; Capt, Co I, 1st TN Vol Inf, War of 1861. He married Martha Tennessee Jenkins about 1890. They had no children. Tombstone: Martha T. Littleton, 17 Oct 1855 - 16 May 1936, Cave Creek Cem,. Roane Co., TN. 8) Pleasant Green Littleton b. about 1840 Roane Co., - d. About 1905 TN. Tombstone: Pleas G Littleton; 1847 - 1905, Cave Creek Cem, Roane Co, TN; S/S Elizabeth A. He married Elizabeth A. Ingram 13 Sep. 1867 in Roane Co. She is the daughter of Stephen H. Tombstone: Betsey E. Huffine, 4 May 1846 - 28 Feb 1917, Cave Creek Cem., Roane Co., TN; md. 22 Jan 1871, S/S Benjamin L. She married Benjamin L. Huffine 22 Jan. 1871 as stated on tombstone.
