Terry, The NC Gazetteer says: Littleton is a town in E Warren county and SW Halifax county. It was named for Little Manor , which was the home if William Person Little, and became a tavern. His house is still standing. It was named in newspapers as early as 1823, and became an established community by 1833. by William S. Powell Helen
