Hello - My list was experiencing flaming, and messages which would have been expected in a schoolyard, not a site for genealogists. People started 'unsubbing', 2 resigned from the organization, and I received numerous complaints about one person in particular. So I used Emergency Moderation, after sending a message to the list. Sure enough I just received a private email from that self-same person, complaining she had sent a message 6 hrs before, and had not seen it on the list. I had not received any notification there was a pending message, but when I went into the administration page, there the message was. Sure enough, it was rude!!! She just doesn't understand the word polite - and she's a teacher!! By the way, hers was the ONLY message the list has received. Anyway, how have other List Admins handled this? Do you leave moderation on for all the list? Do you decide which persons are the main offenders, and only moderate them? How often are the Admins notified there is a message pending? Is it like the spam messages, which come at widely spaced times?? And may I reset something so we're notified more quickly? THanks for any and all help. Julia Mosman jwmos99@msn.com
