Another possibility ... does she have a typo in the @rootsweb.com part of the address? A typo before the @ would bounce as "no such user" or something similar, and would come from RootsWeb. But AFTER the @, "not connected" might make sense (as in, tesco.net couldn't hand mail off to rotosweb.com or whatever.) K.
