I've been getting notices of pending requests for an address that is NOT subscribed to any of my lists (the address below). However, the spam that is getting blocked from the lists (a bunch of them) has a REPLY TO address in the header field that IS subscribed to my lists. Initially the spam was blocked because of too many addresses -- so I moderated the subscribed address (can't do anything about the address NOT subbed). I wrote to the person at the subscribed address but haven't gotten a reply. Pending posts: From: doris391939@yahoo.com on Tue Jun 26 09:44:15 2012 Subject: (no subject) Cause: Post sent by a moderated list member. ....My point in posting on LO is in case other admins get pending requests or spam coming through your lists but can't find the "sender" on your subscriber list...check the REPLY TO field of the spam and you should find the subscribed address. MailMan apparently lets these posts come through to the list because the sender address (the NON-subscribed address that is compromised) includes a subscribed address in the REPLY TO field. Joan
Has this been reported to the help desk? Can they do anything about it? J.
