Fellow list admins, My husband has complained to me about googling his own name and finding information I had posted that provides his birth year. He told me that he doesn't want his birth year available online anywhere. When I performed a similar search, I found a message that I had posted to a mailing list years ago. I've already requested removal of the message from the archives using the Archive removal tool, and approved the removal after receiving the message with the link to do so. That message was on a page whose URL starts with "archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com". However, there is a second copy of that exact same message available at a site whose URL starts with "newsfeed.rootsweb.com". So this is a question to fellow admins regarding what this secondary site newsfeed.rootsweb.com is all about, and how to accomplish removal of a post from that page as well. Will the archive removal tool handle removal of the message from both sites? Or do I have to write to listmaster to take care of this? If it matters, my e-mail address has changed in the 12 years since that prior message was sent -- but any emails sent to that old address still get forwarded to my current address. -- Thanks, Mary
