Jim didn't say he thought Janet was up to no good, he just wondered whether complying with the request was appropriate. Janet, as you said, simply made a request to a few admins, privately. When her request was discussed here on LO, she dropped us all a line to give us more information. Nothing out of the ordinary in any of this, in fact a commendably polite exchange. For that matter, I think your own observation about overly sensitive posts to LO was also fine. I agree with it. It just doesn't apply to Jim or Janet in this case. I would add that one of the purposes of LO is to discuss just such issues.... If nothing else it helps me to keep track of what is going on with other lists, even if I think everyone on here is wacko except me (and I have very strong suspicions about me). ;) Darrell
