There IS a solution to the non-subscriber spam that comes to Pending Requests--change your settings to DISCARD non-subscriber emails. Yes, Joan, this is a solution, but it isn't a very good one. I look at it as my being here to serve my subscribers. By setting all pending requests to "Discard", I'm potentially losing legitimate subscriber posts (because they were over-size, were administrative in nature, etc.), and I'm potentially missing posts from new folks who don't understand that they have to subscribe first, and so on. Sure setting "Discard" would be a fix to the problem, but it's not a very good fix. That's not why I'm a List Admin.
