However, it is my *OPINION* that posting such things to our lists muddies the waters about what the purpose of the list is. It is hard enough keeping people from posting "great resource for SMITH genealogy" on the VERMONT list (when there is no discussion of Vermont SMITHs going on). We are certainly not supposed to be sources of general information about computers, the Internet, etc. etc. However, for a small list with a close family of subscribers, your opinion may differ.
