David, It's there, but not in an obvious place: Privacy Options > Accept List > Action to take for postings from non-members for which no explicit action is defined The choices are either "Hold" -- the default, and "Discard". When set to "Hold", we get pending requests for these items. When set to "Discard", we don't get pending requests for these items -- they just disappear in the ether.
