Joan, I moderate all the mail that comes to my Lists that come through the Gateways. Since all of them say they come from non-subscribers, my Lists would loose a lot. On the other hand, I (so far) have not been hit by Jacki. I get several a day that I have to discard, but it does not take long. But I would think that the Viagra adds and the "HI There" messages could be filtered out. There IS a solution to the non-subscriber spam that comes to Pending Requests--change your settings to DISCARD non-subscriber emails.
