So a more universal answer may be that it's worth sending the email (after moderating and/or unsubbing the address), but be aware that the subscriber MAY or MAY NOT see what you send. --pig
Hi Pig... Our Famous List Administrator! Universal unsub is best if you want to wait.. I don't..... But if the email account of a member has been hi-jacked they no longer have control of the email account. And that was what I was speaking about in this last message - not the spam messages to the mailing list... "On changing the password, you can't as they already have changed your password, the password question and answer..and the contact data. You see I was hi-jacked .. For a more universal answer, use hotmail hijack in google or yahoo and you will get many hits on problems with ( hot mail ). Looks like some other mail would be better to change to since this is such a wide spread disease. I have had a few members using HotMail and had to get gmail just to write to me about being hi jacked and could not access their account. So far since the conception of G mail and using OE for pop, I have been lucky I guess. But I know what Nelda posted is not uncommon. Its hair raising to say the least. As for saving any thing on the web in mail accounts, those messages could be pop to your PC and saved in the HD as well as leaving a copy on the server, thats what I do with G mail. Its saved to my external HD in a folder store off the C drive and not in the OE environment, you can do this simple enough with thunderbird or what ever.
