Carl- At one time (and it may still be the case) that adoptable footer was sticking long after a list was adopted by an admin. Check the tools page to see if you get in using your admin password and check https://myaccount.rootsweb.com to see whether you are still listed there as admin. If you are --- then the only problem is the sticky footer. I can't imagine why mail addressed to listmaster@rootsweb.com would bounce ... but you can still post a message to the HelpDesk and ask about this issue.
