    2. If the list IS a project list then those in charge of the project can control the content. I have never heard that projects are no longer being given lists if requested. The only thing I recall hearing is that if the lists become adoptable they can only be adopted out to those connected to the project. Joan In a message dated 4/25/2012 5:35:06 P.M. My understanding was that lists are no longer given out to a "project" but that a county list is a county list. The project idea led to duplicate lists which is no longer done. I know the pages describing lists are old and still often say the list is for such and such a project. At least this is so in Ireland. I would like to know the current Rootsweb standing on genealogy projects owning lists. Does any one know?
