    3. I can't say what the limits are for RootsWeb list addresses - they may have their own - but "balance" is not a criterion for email addresses, in general. The part of the email address after the @ must be the domain name, but the part of the email address in front of the @ - called the "local part" - is highly flexible. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Email_address I own my own domain name, dgmweb.net. You can put anything specified as "valid" on the above wiki page in front of @dgmweb.net as the local part of an email address, send it to me, and I will receive it because I own the domain. Or, rather, I would receive it if I didn't filter them out at the server. Spammers know this, so they will bombard a domain with spam using computer-generated "local parts" for the addresses. The only defense is to only accept email with specified local parts and dump the rest. That's kind of my point. I don't believe it IS technically possible because I believe it would appear to be out of balance. I think there are some checks for a balanced address. It should be technically possible, but I can't imagine why someone would want it. It sure "looks" funny. Diana
