Oh yes they DID...I was subbed to everyone of my lists in both L and D modes with my AOL address and EVERY list my D subscriptions were removed. I never got an unsub notice---they were just removed. Like Mary, I have a feeling people just didn't realize it happened WAY back then. They probably think the check mark for plain next to digest means L mode...but it doesn't.
