    3. So I got this invitation to join a boards list manager something at groups.io . I was under the impression that while I was a board admin with Rootsweb Boards that when they got sucked into the Ancestry boards, if I wasn't an admin on the Ancestry board of the same name, my being the administrator went away. Is that correct? Tim Stowell On Sat, Feb 22, 2020 at 10:17 AM Jim Jackson <ancestrynut@charter.net> wrote: > I am attempting to contact the boards-admins owner to find out about > migration plans. 3. I am admin of a rootsweb list for another four days but have never attempted to admin the associated board and do not know how to do so. Presumably with four days left until March 2nd there is little point in seeking to find out now? I have ignored the invite up till now because I did not think I administered a board but perhaps I should accept it? Is it relevant any more now that we have moved to groups.io? 3. I have the same issue, Joan. There were 2 Lists and Boards for surnames that I admin'd. I've moved the list activity to Groups.io and I would like to do the same for my boards. However, I have let them lapse and no longer am able to Admin the boards or to post anything to them (I think). And the MessageBoards@rootsweb.com no longer functions. I went to the board at https://www.ancestry.com/boards/surnames.antle and there is no VOLUNTEER in the Tools at the top right. Same thing for https://www.ancestry.com/boards/surnames.thornicroft. 3. If there is no volunteer to admin link then quite possibly someone else is adminning the boards. There is no reason you can't POST to the boards though. They are free to use and only require a free guest Ancestry account which you would already have if you were once admin.
