This has solved the problem every time. For some reason "default processing" holds the posts even though the list settings are for "Accept Immediately". I wish we didn't have to do this one by one, but it seems the only thing that works. On the upside, it means that at least some new subscribers will get their first post examined before it is passed to the list, which is probably a good thing.
