They can either do it through the RootsWeb homepage as already mentioned or they can still send a new email to: LISTNAME-request@rootsweb.com (replacing LISTNAME with the actual name of the list) with the word SUBSCRIBE in the subject and message body. They then need to respond to the confirmation email to complete the subscription. I thought it had to be either LISTNAME-join (preferred) or LISTNAME-subscribe (alias) Pat A.
As far as I know any of those work. When I got unsubbed from a couple lists (bounces I guess although I don't know when or why) I was able to resub using the request address. Thank everyone who sent directions. I am getting people who want to subscribe and have no idea how to do it. I obviously have forgotten everything I ever knew and haven’t learned all of the new ways.Maybe 84 is the time to think about giving them up. No one is posting to any of my lists I wonder why. I read this list and it seems other lists are working and people are posting. I am conflicted. Oh well!
