Thanks, Rick, but I didn't get a confirmation on that page when I clicked on Unsubscribe. If that's a problem, maybe Anne's team can look into it when there are fewer issues to resolve. Nonetheless, I know that I don't NEED an unsub confirmation. I just like to have one because I copy all sub and unsub notifications into a Word doc -- a micro management luxury that has served me well because I only admin one list. (I did add one recently, but it's neither here nor there.) Just before Rootsweb switched from Smartlist to Mailman in 2006, I made a copy of all my subscriber addresses. I have kept a record of all the subs and unsubs since then, which came in very handy when my list lost list mode for 10 months back in 2013. It was my records that got all my listers back after Gerhard figured out what the 10-month problem was. So yes, I keep records about my listers...just in case. Mary- Have you checked your member list to see whether the address actually was unsubbed? If it is still subbed ... try again. Thanks, Joan. I already checked that. He's unsubbed. If the person isn't on the list after you unsub, he/she is unsubbed. There are way too many priorities across World Connect, Lists and Hosted Web Sites to add that to the list. You can get unsub confirmation. I still do with all the lists I manage. It's in list settings. You have to reset because of change from Mailman2 to 3 version. David Samuelsen Today, I unsubbed a lister. When I did this in the "olden" days, I received an unsub confirmation from Rootsweb. I've yet to receive one today in my inbox or spam catcher, so I'm wondering if I will now only receive unsub confirmations when listers unsub themselves, i.e., I won't receive a confirmation when I perform the unsub. Thoughts? Thanks, Mary Richardson
Thanks, David. I reviewed all the settings. This seems to be the pertinent one: Settings > Automatic Responses > Notify admin of membership changes. The option is Yes or No for "Should administrator get notices of subscribes and unsubscribes?" Mine is set to Yes, suggesting that I should have received a notice when I unsubbed my lister. Since I didn't, what else do I need to do? Mary Richardson At 04:55 PM 9/5/2018, W David Samuelsen <dsam52@sampubco.com> wrote: >You can get unsub confirmation. Mary, You may get unsubs when the subber does it but perhaps not when you do it as the admin. Janet On Thu, Sep 6, 2018 at 12:38 AM Mary Richardson <mrichson@ix.netcom.com> wrote: > Thanks, David. I have my lists set to inform me of subscriber changes, but haven't had a notification since the change over in March 2018 Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 05/09/2018 21:55, W David Samuelsen wrote: > You can get unsub confirmation.
