I may have missed it but how do we as admins get a post removed ? And how does a subscriber remove one of their own ? Apologies if its been covered already but can't recall it and the archives are fairly worthless now for searching -- Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK)
IIRC we have always had to ask RW Help if we want to get an item removed from the Mailng List archives. As Admin of a Message Board I was able to delete messages from that, but I couldn't delete Mailing List posts. Thanks Anne Its so long since I needed to do it I can't even remember the way to do it in the old system, I seem to recall copying the url of the message and posting that to rootsweb, only the original poster could give permission to remove their post if I remember rightly But haven't found the way to do it in the latest Mailman Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 12-Apr-18 10:14 AM, Anne Burgess via LISTOWNERS wrote: > IIRC we have always had to ask RW Help if we want to get an item removed > from the Mailng List archives. Last I saw was we were to send an email with the request to remove a post and with the URL of the post to "[email protected] until we can redirect [email protected] to that address."
