    3. I'm actually considering getting a all-in-one desktop (like having a 27" tablet sitting on your desk). It has 2 HDMI ports which means I could have 3 monitors instead of the 2 I have now. There are external devices that you can get to have as many as 8 monitors connected to one computer.     3. I prefer the laptop. I never get lost data from power blips, also being off grid, I dont have power blips. Being on solar is so much better than grid power and when it storms we don't have any problems.   Desk tops are so cumbersome and laptops have so many more advantages than a desk top can have .
