I have been gradually posting to the lists I own to advise people to register as necessary, but mainly to initiate archives. I have discovered that when I ask to "show headers" or "view source" for a held post, the headers that are shown are those on the Ancestry.com servers, which are no help at all for verifying the origin, and therefore the possible legitimacy of the held post. For example, my own post from pjroots to [email protected] was held for reason n/a and the "headers" are below. If this wasn't "me," how would I know it was a valid post? The content of the email should be shown. That is how I’ve been deciding. I’m managing the adoptable lists. I was beta tester for internet mail that evolved to outlook and outlook express. Years ago. The only thing I noticed b4 was when security and fire walls would catch emails. Once the server at the isp was set to watch for copy right. They had certain explicit words that would trap messages. I was running a group about copy right protection. It caught my message with that one word and I was sent a canned note not to post copy righted stuff in email or loose my service. I talked to the server people which I knew at the time. Anyway the idea to catch certain words might be a problem. A fire wall or something how a message sends and is received on the other end. I found my domain mail is a problem and ended up switching to my gmail address's. Anyway. Some one on one end or other might find a common hit on why lagit mail gets trapped. So far. I have not got trapped to work up close. Later;) Ex Microsoft died hard consultant. Using linix mint 18.3 Dan
