    3. Right, of course, Joan, but mine all ended up in Pending because they "weren't subscribed to the list" (hence, they were sent to the List address), not because they had an implicit address. If it had been a BCC, an "implicit address" would have been the stated reason for their having ended up in Pending ... Spammers usually send their spam as BCCs and any attempt to do that even if it said subscribe would end up in pending requests due to the "implicit" address. I don't even see those because I have non subscriber mail set to discard and not hold. I'm getting the ones sent to my admin address that say "subscribe now and save..." but they are not trying to sub to the list...just using that word in the subject for their own spam purposes. I've had a load of these as well. They are sent to the request address just like any other legitimate sub request. Thankfully my lists are all set to approval, so none of them got through. All the requests were discarded, not rejected.. The first one I got was 64F52A783C(&)affiliategoals.com (it's been munged) but the address format is similar in every instance. The subscriber's "name" is always DatingLife. I've noticed one of my junk mail folders gets at least half a dozen "dating" site scam/spam mails daily. 2. You could also ask the admin to change the list setting so that non-subscriber emails are discarded rather than held which would eliminate those pesky notices about the junk mail (unless you mean junk mail coming to the ADMIN address?). It sounds as if this admin isn't doing much and possibly an assistant IS needed for this list. This change is not an option in cases where the gateway is being used and moderated---but otherwise it should help. Joan In a message dated 4/17/2013 4:05:14 P.M. 3. I'd just add that no one can copyright facts. No one can own the date someone died or where he died or any other fact about the death. You can copyright the format in which the facts are presented, but that is easy to get around. My uncle had been married twice and when he died his 2nd family published a death notice that did not mention anyone related from the first marriage, so we published a 2nd notice and included everyone, and I hope to goodness that embarassed the 2nd family! That means they were done either with the family's approval or by the family themselves 27 years ago . Therefore it cannot be an "invasion of her family's privacy". A transcript is copyright of the person who made the transcript. They should cite the source and have got permission to make it. I can't honestly see how an obit could cause her family "extreme embarrassment", TBH. Did she not know about the obit before? Does it contain information that doesn't concur with her personal image of the deceased? I can't remember off hand but I believe either Ancestry and/or FindMyPast have obits on their sites.
