When you are in the admin center, with a board homepage open, there is a item in the Tools Block to Edit Board Info. If you go in through the Ancestry side, you can update Your Account by clicking on your user name at the top of the page. You can't access your profile through the Rootsweb side because it's still down. I use the Message Boards on Ancestry all the time, they are far more active than most of my lists. And currently, I am able to monitor all of my Boards from the Ancestry home page using the Message Boards Favorites widget where I can see all of the activity in an immediate basis, which is darn handy. Unfortunately, I understand that is probably one of the things they are doing away with soon, but I sure do hope they change their minds, it is one of their most useful features on the site. If you are logged in, you can enter this URL directly and it will take you directly to your admin center https://www.ancestry.com/boards/default.aspx?view=admin or http://boards.rootsweb.com/default.aspx?view=admin There is no difference between the Rootsweb/Ancestry boards except for the header at the top. How do I change an out dated password on my boards? Dan M
While on LO, with the long footer as it is, could the other list admins not use their signatures, they just add to it. Once some time back, we were asked not to post them. Kinda strings out on my phone mail. Dan M ?

Anne; I never replied to this one yet so I will. Having your problems as they are now. And only (if) those lists are online now. How about just letting them sit for now. Maybe some one will take them as things work out and progress is made on the stuff not working. (If) they are not online yet. Let them sit until stuff calms down and then when it is possible add them. When those lists were created there was someone who thought it was useful. Maybe in these newer times some else might. Now for duplicates and varied surnames. I agree name variants can be complicated. My Mattingly list when the rootsweb teem was doing the adding of the varients I found 57 of them they were all listed. Been 20 years ago and even I do not have that list anymore. Just a comment on varients. Not all varients are even related. Now with duplicate lists. Thats a tought idea. Look at the Rogers Rodgers Roger and you will find some one created about 20 listed as Surname Rodgers etc: was not needed Rodgers I feel would be enough. Roger Roger's never had much following. I don't know how related they are between Rodgers and Rogers. My story I got was 2 brother got into it and dropped the .d. But so many Rodger . Roger type lists just add confusion. Once the original rootsweb told us once a list was created it could not be deleted. But 20 or less years might show a reason they are not doing anything. I just can't see a reason to add or delete anything until they work right anyways. ?
