    3. Anne Gillespie Mitchell, When you wrote you had fixed the error, I was hopeful the “fix" included the same error code I get when I try to deal with held messages on the Brethren List; but I just tried it, and I still get Service Error (500) instead. Is this a separate problem? and can it be fixed? 3. Hmmm. If it's a choice between administering a List and not being pestered with ads, I'd say bye-bye List. My ad blocker is there for a reason, namely to block ads, and if anyone tells me that I have to disable it to do something, the something won't get done. 3. Hi I do use an Ad blocker in Firefox but before posting the first time I checked if that was the problem by disabling it, it had no no effect I also checked in two browsers and on two different computers, all the same result It occurs day to day, it was there yesterday but not this morning, after a reboot there it is I have tabs saved for certain lists logged in as admin and the menu always shows in them Others have also said the menu has been missing at times so its not isolated Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 24-Apr-18 5:12 PM, Gene Phillips wrote: > Do you have an Ad Blocker? 3. Do you have an Ad Blocker? If so, it may occasionally mistaking the banner for an ad and blocking it. If you don't have an ad blocker, the add appearing directly below the header may occasionally be misconfigured and it overlays the header making it invisible. I don't remember that I have seen it missing. I have an Ad blocker in Chrome and never see the ad. I don't have an ad blocker in MS Edge, but I have always seen the header. 3. Thanks Pat. Wisdom always ;) And one thing for sure. We are so lucky to have the trap that holds suspicious mail. I would rather deal with that than spam hitting the list for sure. 3. Constance, The BAN LIST prevents an email address from subscribing to a specific list. It does not stop the email address from sending mail to the list address and it being routed to HELD for moderation (not a subscriber.) It is possible that the programmers have set up Mailman to LEARN, i.e. after X number of messages from an address are discarded, the address is added to the universal antispam list. OTOH, I *believe* it is possible for us as list admins to add an email to the automatic discard list using the Header Filters tool. However, doing so will require the use of very specific syntax for the header and "regular expression" and I have yet to discover what specific language and syntax must be used. I am hoping Ann will add those to her Admin Help section. Pat A.
