    3. Hi, First go to this page: https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/postorius/accounts/mailmansettings/ and make sure that Receive own postings is set to yes. And then make sure that on your list membership page: https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/postorius/lists/suffolk.rootsweb.com/members/options/[email protected] the same is set to yes. 3. Hi Nivard, Somehow I think that by putting in only 3-5 letters of the addy you automatically avoid the problem of those empty spaces for some reason. 3. Me too. Also sent a request to change the dead addresses that are admin because its something I was not able to do. No reply on either questions. People ask us to follow being responsible. Well does that apply to the boards people to? Just curious. Maybe my tummy grumbles are clouding my thoughts better go burn a burger. Rain pending. Winds hard... Might go inside and play with websites. 2. Timothy Stowell
    3. I tried to get subbed to the Board-Admins list- never heard anything so wrote the admin address and got back a reply that the list was only for Board administrators, which of course I knew. I was told to write to I believe the same address with what Boards I administered, so I sent a list of 4 Board names and haven't heard anything since then. Of my apparent 7 Ancestry accounts I found Boards under two and changed my listed email address, which will not show up under board admins because it says my email address is already being used (somewhere?), so I changed them to one of my other email addresses and made note of such. Since I have other frustrations, I went off to feed them instead. 2. Nivard Ovington
    3. Hi Janet Thank you, yes am fully aware of how it can work In the case I cited, I had a request to subscribe a new address, and delete the old one In that process I copied the whole address and pasted it into the search field, not finding the address in question I was a little mystified so went over it again and found it, as the copy/paste had added spaces which were invisible until I checked it over, with spaces the search returned no hit This was when we first had access to the new system so another quirk (ie not finding an address that was already subscribed) was no surprise So mentioned it should anyone else be caught by the same Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 27-Apr-18 5:43 PM, Janet Crawford wrote: > Nivard, One only needs the 1st 4-5 letters of an addy to do the search and > it works perfectly. > > Janet

    3. His point was blank spaces in his copy n paste. Happens sometimes. Once pasted u can place the cursor and check for those. Sometimes email addresses have some difference in what u see and what is working. U can also use the domain end of the address and see how many addresses are subscribed under each domain. Someone might have more than one or maybe you just want to write to say AOL members. Many got it them selves over 20 or so after I sent the note to re register with (rootsweb) Only one had a problem. They are re reg and subscribed and Anne has ask for that one. Only one other; the form keeps telling her to use english. Also turned that over to Anne. Dan M:) On Fri, Apr 27, 2018, 12:58 AM Lin Duke <[email protected]> wrote: > Following on....
