    3. I have not had something like this in a very long time, but I just had an otherwise proper post from a subscriber whose service provider domain in Juno. They are a free service, or at least they were 20 or so years ago when I used them FOR FREE, but I finally switched to my current ISP for this very reason, to eliminate the ads on my mail. My question now though is, can or should I properly ask her to "stop advertising" on the list under these circumstances? I tend to border on paranoia when it comes to spam, but IS THIS SPAM and what if anything can our should I do about it that is fair and proper for all concerned? How can I do what is right on both sides of this issue? She is a long time subscriber (though very rarely posts) now on moderation, but doesn't know it yet. David

After I added the other person as an Owner I deleted myself off the Owner thingy and asked the new owner to unsub me. 2. OK I have navigated to a list that I previously subscribed to. When I click on start a new thread, it takes to me a page that says I need to sign up, create a new password, etc. I thought you only needed to do this once. Do I need to do this for every list I am subscribed to? This whole process is very confusing and the documentation on Rootsweb very lacking. If I want to send a message to the Behymer list, is the process the same as before, i.e., send an E-mail to [email protected]?

I don't have any trouble logging in as the admin from this email address. How do I fix this? Did she link both emails in her login? I doubt that two people can use the same email account in the system, though. Rather than a moderator, just add her email as a second listowner. > 2. I think one digest may have gone out because people have replied saying they wanted to remain subbed. Are there posts in the archive? If so, posts are being sent. How do I fix that? Two places: in your own individual profile, check both Global Mailman preferences and Address-based preferences. Then, in each list (this is the really tedious part) search for your address as a subscriber, click Member Options and check those. Notice that there are two sections, each with their own Save Changes button. If you make changes to the upper section, use the upper botton. The important one is the bottom section, where you want Accept immediately. Who knows why this is not the default, but plain and simple: "default" does not work. I have been searching for every good poster address and doing the same for them. Otherwise you have to "allow" posts far too often. > I am also the admin for ISTG-Adoption, however I'd like to get one list at a time fixed before I tackle the other one. > > > Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. > > > Peace, > Patty You'll do fine, Patty! 3. Anne, I would love to have this option. As you know, I only have one list, so I have the luxury of keeping a Word doc where I record all the subs and unsubs. I record names when I know them. Would be great to be able to do this in Mailman. P.S. I hate the subject of this thread: "List question." We all need more specifics, and Listowners should know better than to post such. I'm not changing it here, so the thread won't be broken. 3. When you are on the list of all the lists you own and/or subscribe to, if you click on one of the lists you own, you will see get to a page with a URL similar to this: https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/postorius/lists/megen.rootsweb.com/ From there you can click on Members and then Subscribers and be on a page with a URL similar to this: https://lists.rootsweb.ancestry.com/postorius/lists/megen.rootsweb.com/members/subscriber/ (I've chosen one of your lists for this example.) You should be able to manage your list from these pages. 3. I don't even see a members tab, but I can see a list of all those I maintain and am a member of. I apparently are missing a step.
