    1. [LO]Need help resubscribing to a list
    2. David E. Cann
    3. Please don't laugh at me, but with all of the neat new features we now have with the new Mailman, is there any way I can REsubscribe myself to a list by going through my Mailman account. I have recently discovered that my subscription is gone (for no reason that I know of) so I simply tried to resubscribe by email but after a few tries that got no response, so I wrote to my fellow List Owner asking for help. She knows nothing about the new list system, and would not even look after I tried to explain about her new subscription options and the folder where pending subscriptions go pending approval. Her response was that she "doesn't know anything about that," and would not even look when I told her how to do it. Instead, she said she would "send this to my technician," whatever that means. This morning I received a message from the supposed technician, and not surprisingly she could not help me either because according to her, "I don't have access to that list," but she also said she doesn't know how to navigate the new system either, so that effectively puts me back to square one. I AM NOT ASKING FOR THE WORLD HERE, I only want to subscribe to a list. How do I do it though, under the above circumstances??? I have tried everything I know to do, but how do I get a simple(?) routine subscription to a list approved when neither the List Owner nor her apparent "technician" are able to do it? PLEASE help if you can. Anne, if you are out there and reading this, can you help me please. I am purposely leaving out the list name so as not to embarrass anyone, but will provide it PRIVATELY off list if someone needs it to help me. David E. Cann [email protected]

    3. Nivard I still see posts from Ancestry glass door tho. If people look at how spam is sent. It simply hits any valid email address list address are just email addresses. You can't stop blanket spam. Unless rootsweb staff can block it from hitting the admin like we can block it from subscription. I did not know the insider stopped I just thought it was part of the down side of all other things broken at ancestry. 3. Hi David I can't think of a reason Ancestry would want to subscribe to any list under a noreply address so thats not a problem I have also looked back a few years in case there were any noreply addresses associated with Ancestry but found none The nearest was the Ancestry insider now long gone sadly Its just the posts from a noreply address I am trying to block but that appears not to be an option at present Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 07-May-18 8:42 PM, W David Samuelsen wrote: > never block [email protected] because some of them actually come from Ancestry > > you have to make it *@<domain.com> > > David

    3. How do you know that digests are not being sent? You can't subscribewith one email account and get both list posts and digests. You need asecond email address to get the digest. you can sub the -admin or [email protected] address and set it to digest and they will come to your address.
