Gatewayed posts are not coming back. Anne -----Original Message----- From: P. S. & C. A. Hi Folks, Can anyone remind me of the latest status on Mailing Lists being archived. Were we supposed to notify Anne of lists that weren't being archived OR wait until the archives caught up with all lists OR were lists inactive for a period not going to be archived? Second question on the same subject - for lists that ARE being archived why would recent posts [today] not appear in the archives but an even more recent post [today] to another list instantly appear in the archives? Regards ... Susie Zada
The post where Anne said the gateways would be permanently closed is in this list's archives at <https://lists.rootsweb.com/hyperkitty/list/listowners@rootsweb.com/thread/401525/> David, please point us to some of the gatewayed posts that you've seen recently on the lists. Thank everyone who sent directions. I am getting people who want to subscribe and have no idea how to do it. I obviously have forgotten everything I ever knew and haven’t learned all of the new ways.Maybe 84 is the time to think about giving them up. No one is posting to any of my lists I wonder why. I read this list and it seems other lists are working and people are posting. I am conflicted. Oh well! Thanks, Nivard. Since I keep a record of all my subs and unsubs, I tallied up the ones that I've received since our lists came back up. Rootsweb has sent me notifications of 18 subs and 1 unsub. I have yet to receive a notification of the unsub that I performed for a lister on 1 Sep 2018. Reading back through my notes, I found another unsub that I performed for a different lister on 14 Mar 2018. I've yet to receive a notification for that one either. Anne, is this the way the new Mailman is supposed to work? Thanks, Janet. That's what I'm trying to confirm. It wasn't the case in previous versions of Mailman. I received "removed" notices no matter who completed the unsub. I have my lists set to inform me of subscriber changes, but haven't had a notification since the change over in March 2018 Nivard Ovington in Cornwall (UK) On 05/09/2018 21:55, W David Samuelsen wrote: > You can get unsub confirmation. Mary, You may get unsubs when the subber does it but perhaps not when you do it as the admin. Janet On Thu, Sep 6, 2018 at 12:38 AM Mary Richardson <mrichson@ix.netcom.com> wrote: > Thanks, David. Thanks for the ideas. I am not sure what I can do. I have tried Welcome we are back up. I have tried rollcalls. Instruction on setting up your rootsweb master account I gotten only a few replies Anybody consolidating "relatred" list members to get one active one? Anybody getting more than ten percent activity of what it was before?
