    3. I knew about the gateway being closed. But here's something else that doesn't work. The message I sent with an attachment was distributed and went to the archives of the Armstrong Surname list. 3. I almost sent a message through earlier about this guy, but the subscriptions seem to have stopped. I did find that he is a journalist/author somewhere…(freelance, I think) He subscribed to 5 of my lists (not saying much, I have many). He subbed to three surnames and two dealing with DNA. Worth keeping an eye on, imo. 3. I asked earlier about why messages gatewayed from the board never make it to the list after being approved. They were held for not being a subscriber. I think I found the reason. The actual message from the board is an html attachment. I'm thinking messages with attachments are just deleted even though they are approved. To test this theory, I'm going to send message to a list with an attachment and see what happens. Gene

As others have pointed out, User IDs, User Names etc. are not always obvious, but I couldn't count how many times somebody like [email protected] was trying to unsub, and being able to see the subscribed list of emai addresses helped me to identify what email Mr. Jones had actually used when s/he subscribe. I vote AGAINST removing the option to download subscribed email addresses. Pat A.

    3. Trying to think about the glass half full - shouldn't need the CSV Export button If I were a glass half empty person I would use it if there were major problems and the lists weren't available for a period of time! :-) And yes, I had downloaded all of my lists and subscribers a few years back - updated now and again - and I was able to contact them, let them know what was happening, and they became involved in a temporary list I set up in the meantime - specifically for those that wanted a Mailing List and weren't happy to use only Facebook. With the lists back up and running (glass half full hat back on again) - it's a chance to contact those who were regular Mailing List users who may have bounced off the lists and let them know that we have Mailing Lists again and do they want to get involved. Obviously a number have since changed their email address but with regulars you can often find their new email. Some Mailing Lists subscribers become like family and you see them popping up elsewhere - they appreciate the contact. So benefits of a CSV Export button ... definitely Yes! My two pennies worth ...
