You *can* add the address on your list tools: Mass operations > mass subscribe and just paste in the address. However, it is *much* better to send them to the http://home.rootsweb.ancestry.com/listindexes/setupmail page and and list info link and let them subscribe themselves. Really, everyone should be able to make an account and have control over their subscriptions and how they wish to receive their email. I had someone that wished to be subscribed with a new email address but I couldn’t do it. I had to forward it to the list owner. Please tell me how to do it, I am his assistant. Diane Sent from my iPad
Just curious. On the banned list do we still need the carrot before the addresses? Dan

yes, thank you Don't you hate tyops -----Original Message----- From: W David Samuelsen you meant msn.com It's one kept getting held in all my lists. Something Anne mentioned. Maybe we could all just chill for awhile? I lost the link to the Ancestry/Rootsweb page that lists list needing owners. Could some kind soul, post it here or email me, thanks in advance. -- Pat Connors http://www.connorsgenealogy.com
If bcc, is any where in the same message going to rootsweb, it will be rejected. Never use bcc. They set up rw to reject those messages as implicit. I did reject a message with no subject, there was no way to put in a reason. I did send a private note following the reject, how ever still got grilled by the member because it was not in the reject. I ticked the message to reject, clicked reject, it was gone. Poof! Dan
Good morning folks. Hope things are getting better. I have worn out anything I had to say. But can relate to Jim for sure. Bulk Subscription now in the L's [email protected] As I set up their defaults I put on MOD until after a few valid posts/replies.
I just hope the developers are close to getting the personalized footers available for our editing. I have a bunch of lists that have the footer "this list is available for adoption" when obviously it is not. This is a minor irritation but growing and, I am sure, a minor problem when compared to some others they have to deal with. Best Wishes, Jim -----Original Message----- From: David E. I guess like everyone. Everything is on a new learning curve. Would help more if questions and problems had cures. Since I don't know how they inter installed version 3 over 2.7 I can only guess that there were unseen problems in certain fields. Anne, have you been able to look at the SUFFOLK List yet to see why I'm not getting copies of posts sent to the List? (OR any other List that I admin?) Thanks, Peter List Admin.
I guess I was not clear. I always put the lists in the to address. not even the CC line "In the past" when we had problems people would always Bcc me to force their posts through. MY QUESTION ARE THERE ANY PROVIDERS NOT RECEIVING THE LIST POSTS?
Huh? Bcc are NOT sent to the addresses on the To: or Cc: Lines Blind Carbon Copy????? My posts to the list have no problem coming back to me or to the archive -----Original Message----- From: Pat Asher At 07:00 PM 4/14/2018, Paul L LeBlanc via LISTOWNERS wrote: >I told him I would Bcc him to see if he was getting my posts. Paul, actually, adding him as a bcc: might cause your posts to the list to be blocked (implicit destination) By all means cc: him, but do not bcc: him.
