Does that mean they will be there automatically and I will have to notice IMMEDIATELY so I can change it to remove them? Or can the option be "none" to start if I now have none? Margaret I can only tell you that on the PAPHILAD list when it was migrated at the start of the testing that I had previously used the abbreviated prepend of [paphl] on the list and and after the migration the default propend had become: [PAPHILAD]. I was able to go in and abbreviate it but not change it to lower case--which I think was fixed yesterday so it will accept changes of case. I can't speak for a list that had no prepend at the time of the changeover--whether one would be added by default or not--but I sort of assume so and assume it will be up to you to remove it if you don't want it. Here is another case where a simple script should be able to tell Mailman that no prepend was previously used so don't add one...but I'm not sure such a check is in place. Joan

    3. Just how many list owners do not know any thing about this ? Was there going to be a Special announcement to all list owners in their private mail ? Is it legal to switch systems and leave people in the dark ? How many dont even know there is a page to get ready for this ? Just wondering. Dan M
