I have a very sick feeling in the PIT of my stomach that we are in for some major problems when these changes become effective. What I am wondering is WHY ANCESTRY/ROOTSWEB is all fired ready to make these changes but FAILED to communicate with ALL the ADMINS of the MANY Lists on that RARELY used Announce list to prepare us well ahead of time instead of a select number of BETA TESTERS. I have a feeling also that they may very well lose LOTS of List Admins and then what are they going to do? As I gather the STAFF at Rootsweb is NOT that large. Yes, we all balked at something or another, however, Rob has made adjustments within the limitations of the software that were acceptable, if not pleasing to most. We BETA testers are merely here offering you peer to peer support as we have had the same feelings that you may be experiencing. We have more knowledge, simply due to the fact that we did participate in the BETA test. With regard to the footer... it is advisable to insert about 3 blank lines and then a symbol such as ________________ in order to better distinguish what is poster text and what is footer. Tagline information can be incorporated in your welome message. Footers can be changed at any time. It is not recommended to make them long, however, it is possible to include more than one bit of intormation using a separator.
