Lindsey were and where I can find some documentation on these people? I have: Micajah C. Lindsey b. 11 Feb 1775 SC, d. 16 Feb 1845 Itawamba Co., MS m. Elizabeth McClurken abt 1797. There is no definite proof of who is his father. Probably is James Lindsey Sr. James Lndsey and James William Lindsey both appeared on an early Rutherford Co. NC tax list concerning the same land. Before that, they were in Spartanburg, SC between 1787-1805, but Micajah appeared 1800 Rutherford NC census. He probably went back and forth between NC-SC several times. I would be careful of the birth-death dates. The year #s appear about right, but one of the sons of Micajah, Bazzle, was born 2-11-1805 SC. Micajah was probably born about 1775 in Surry Co. NC. He moved to Christian Co. KY by 1809, was on Monroe Co. AL 1816 tax list (which may have been MS Territory at the time), was in Tish. Co. MS by 1837.
