    3. Sorry, this is a different Robert. His Will dated 11 Sep 1784 proved 16 Nov 1784 naming his wife Susan and children: William, Opie, Mary Ann and Thomas. Execs: Opie and Thomas Lindsay. i should have left his children out of that message - sorry to confuse you, this Robert d. 1784 moved to Fairfax around 1740 and on 12 Aug 1743 executed a bill of sale reciting that he was "Of the county of Fairfax and Colony of Virginia" by which he transferred to William Taylor, his step-father, all his rights as life tenant to the lands in Northumberland which his preceding stepfather Thomas Ashton had left to him by his will. His father Opie Lindsay, Esq. died in 1727 (Son of Robert, the immigrant). The way I doped it out is Robert the immigrant had a son Opie Lindsay who had this Robert abt 1710-1784. The Opie's get pretty confusing too. Below is Thomas's line his descendant went to KY.
