James A Webb and List, I was looking through some archived e-mails my cousin had sent to me and saw yours. I think this is our line and we have information on Jacob Lindsey. While looking for Jacob I have been seeing these other names. We recently had the will and deed films from Lauderdale Co Al. and it seems, this has to be our John, Jacob and Ezekiel. When Jacob died in New Madrid Mo. 1817 he had 4 minor daughters and named Robert Boyd as guardian. I don`t yet have information on any other children or the name of his wife. After seeing the Films we know they had some trouble with some of the property from John Lindseys will that was to go to Jacob Lindsey, now himself dec`d. This is 1823 by now and Robert Boyd gives his power of Attorney to Robert Pogue of Cooper Co. Mo.( Robert Pogue married Anna Lindsey daughter of Jacob). Robert contacts John Chisholm ( admin. of the will of John Lindsey) in Lauderdale Co Al and requests the property due to the minor orphans of Jacob Lindsey dec! `d. It states Jacob and Ezekiel are exs of the will of their father John Lindsey. Its 1824 before they get all this settled. I located a census in 1810 for Jacob Lindsey in Frederick Co Va. Jacob 1m under 10---1m 26-44---4 f under 10---1 f 10-15---f 26-44---2 slaves John 1m 16-25---1m 26-44---1m over 45---1 f 16-25---1 f over 45---2 slaves I`m sure you`ve seen this and I thought it had to be the right one. John was listed right under Jacob and so were Mary and Thomas. I will share anything I have or will have. I also go to the Church of LDS about once a week or so.
