I am new to this list and have read there is a John Lindsey book. I am wondering if the following family might be in this book or if anyone has information that will help me locate the below John Lindsey. Permelia Lindsey McIntyre and William M. McIntyre were burried in an old cemetary that was covered up by the White Rock Lake in Dallas, when it was built in the 1900s. We know for certain who her parents are as they were listed on her grave stone. They are shown as John & Rebecca Lindsey of KY. Per census records Permelia was born 1818 in KY. Hello. I'm new to the list and need info on Lindseys in Harrison County, VA. GG Grandfather & Grandmother, Peter Isaac Heister Lindsey and Rachel Stark & family migrated from there to Brown County, IN just after the Civil War. My GGrandfather, Zachariah Nathaniel Lindsey remained in VA to marry his sweetheart, Mary Jane Colebank. I have no knowledge of the parents or origin of Peter Isaac, nor do I know anything about Rachel Stark, also from Harrison County. Anyone know anything?? Katie

Hi, My name is Liz. My Grandmother was named Esther Lindsey and was born in Trowbridge on 16 April 1890. Her parents were William Henry Lindsey and Harriet Cook. Esther had 2 brothers - Richard and Jesse. The family moved to Staffordshire in about 1892 when William died. Is there anyone out there who may be connected. If so I would love to hear from you. It would have been the other way around, most likely. The migrations were usually westward. My James M. Lindsey listed his birth place as South Carolina before coming to GA. I just returned from a trip to Henry Co, where I was photographing headstones and have spent a few years trying to find more information about the elder James. I have traced him through the various census and slaveowner records, but he disappeared after the 1870 census. You are the first person to reference this family since I joined the list 3 years ago. Hi, I'm looking for the family of Samuel Lindsey and wife Sarah Wyatt. Samuel Lindsey is named in the will of John Wyatt LWT 1827 Henry Co. Georgia, and I have several documents dated 1840-42 regarding transactions in the estate of John Wyatt. I have an 1850 census for Henry Co. Ga., and some Lindsey's are still there, but I don't see Samuel Lindsey and wife Sarah there. I have found John and Arn Toliver Lindsey on the 1900 Copiah county MS census living in the Dillard precinct these are the sons of Josiah S.Toliver Lindsey now to find Josiah he has to be there also > God Bless Lynda
