All of my Lindamood's are buried at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Jerome, VA. They go way back, if you go to the intersection of R717 and R720 and take R720 that goes by the Menonite Church, sit there at the church for a minute and look at the four corners. The house on the lower side of Rt 717 is the old log home that was built about 1780's and the last time I saw it all of the same lines of the house are the same. Whoever took over the house last has made some changes to the property, it looked as if they were in construction so the look of the old home place had changed. It was yellow siding but the back of the house still has the big beautiful logs exposed. This was Barb property. If you look across the road to the church, the property on the right of the road belonged to Philip Lindamood. When Philip's wife died and Jacob Barb died Philip married Catherine Barb whic! h merged all of those properties. The Barb and Lindamood property continued right of the Menonite church on Rt. 717 which is called Alum Springs Road and Barb property was left of the church on Rt. 717 on Alum Springs Rd. The property also continued up Rt. 720 past the Adam Barb Cave property on both sides of the road along Barb Run. Their is a one acre plot around the cave that many Barb relatives own, with me being one of them and then I along with four other cousins owns the Sugar Mountain property around the cave property. It goes on both sides of the road Rt. 720. That property is for sale. There is roughly 50 acres there. It is also the connecting property for the Monongahela National Forrest. If you stop to look the property is posted and I would not walk across the creek, there is quick sand there. I found out the hard way. LOL. Barb's own the property between Rt. 720 and Rt. 717 past the old log house. We have 31 acres in that plat also and as far as I kn! ow there is another plot next to ours that is for sale unless it has b een sold. This property either connects or almost connects to the Bayse Resort property, Sky Bryce. Most of those Lindamoods are buried at St. Paul's at Jerome. My email is njwinter@yahoo.com One more thing there is a Lindamood book in the genealogy department at the Edinburg Library and the Barb book there probably has a lot of info on Lindamood's.
