I am trying to find some information on my father James William Liddell, born in Gorbals on the 17th May 1939/40. He died when i was 3mths old. My father worked on a trawler in Scotland, before moving to Fleetwood, Lancashire, England. Apparently he had a brother who was a Postmaster in the General Office in Glasgow, and a sister who i think was called Shirley ?, that was a mid-wife at the Glasgow Hospital. My father died on the 31/01/1979. He is buried in Fleetwood. A week before my father died there was an inquest into the death of a young fisherman who commited suicide by jumping over board, due to having marital difficulties.
