Hi June , My name is Andrew Buttfield and I have been researching my mother's family of Liddell's who we believe came from the Stirling area of Scotland , I will look into our reams of names etc to see if there is a connection , our James had a brother named John , not that it was an uncommon chritian name of the times . We are descended from a James Donaldson Liddell who married in 1828 1830 in Sydney to Abigail Desmond { a convict }. Do you know if you are connected to him ? James had a brother who remained in Scotland who married a Marion Henderson is that a connection ?.
