Unless you find some near kin who have family records, you are in difficulty unless you can afford to order certificates from the various British BMD offices. They are not particularly costly but time-consuming to get. Frankly, close-in kin searches just about have to go to certificates because of the large number of people alive in the world. I can't guarantee you anything in this way but I'll copy below some text I just wrote to another person (Liddle-related) who used some of the place names you just did. Sorry, but this is the best I can suggest for you other than the above. "You can help yourself in the long haul by joining Team Liddell et al. We have a number of Liddles on board and they have very good records at least for North America and perhaps a generation or two back in the Isles. The Team is now only in its second year and while we have some 70-80 meg of various files on-line in our private websites we need to greatly expand our holdings. You may not see an immediate return in your search but you are likely to in the long run. We have no dues, no assessments, we guarantee your security and privacy, and everything is free and uncopyrighted. Write me at [email protected] if interested in joining with the rest of us."

No, we don't have anything on Clark that I know of in our files. That doesn't mean that we don't have something because I am very much more an organizationalist and a facilitator for us than I am a genealogist. I DO PERSONALLY know of a Clark in Chicago who is researching deeply into that surname but it would require a phone call to him as he is in government security and has been reluctant to share his email address with me. I'd be willing to provide YOUR address to him and ask him to contact you. You can help yourself in the long haul by joining Team Liddell et al.
