Author: tunnelm1 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/surnames.lewis/5406.1.1.3.1.1.1.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: It now seems certain that my wife is out of the Charles Lewis who died in 1802 in Pittsylvania Co., VA, without leaving a will (not to be confused with another...APPARENTLY unrelated...Charles Lewis who wrote his will in 1802 and who died in 1805). Descendants of my wife's Charles Lewis include the later/younger Charles Lewis (who died about 1808) who married Mary Ann High, as well as Nace/Nasa Lewis, the George Lewis who apparently married Elizabeth King and Royal King Lewis. This family is part of Group 35 in the Lewis DNA testing project (which currently consists of two male Lewis DNA donors who are out of the above family). It does not APPEAR that the Samuel Lewis who married Plotemia Harvey was a member of my wife's Lewis family after all. I will leave it others to determine if the family of the Samuel Lewis who married Plotemia Harvey is or is not currently "represented" in the Lewis DNA testing project.
