For example here is "James [Lewis] 17 v. p. 13 Vol. IX;" I assume I should be looking for a number in Volume IX for him; but which? What does the "v." stand for? Each volume has a series of 12 numbers, one issue per month; so what is this 17? I would appreciate some insight. Thanks.
