Nathaniel Lewis - born 1740 Connecticut; died 1817 New York (Esther Tuttle) . Nathaniel Lewis - born 1769 Connecticut; died 1860 Illinois (Sarah Hart Cole) . Olive Lewis - born 1823 Pennsylvania; died 1893 Illinois (Alpheus Augustus "Gustus" Skinner) My second great grandmother. Nathaniel Lewis (1740) had a daughter, Elizabeth, who was the mother of Emma Hale, the first wife of Joseph Smith, the Mormon prophet.
