Lewis, son of Thomas Lewis (wife Hulda). Family stories had James S. Lewis leaving home to fight in the Civil War and never returning. The family then was broken up moving to different places. Some, including Barton Elsworth Lewis, were reportedly living with a Bolander (or Bolender) family (related?)located "up river from Cincinnati". James' wife Nancy Shipley Lewis is buried in Wray, Colorado close to at least one member of the Bolander (or Bolender) family. Do you have any information about Hulda?
